Primary Connect has been assisting NSW and Victorian communities affected by the recent bushfires by providing transport for much-needed supplies.
Irina Perederienko, Primary Connect Business Development Specialist, said with the generous support of its carrier partners, Primary Connect has been donating transport to reach affected communities in desperate need of food and water.
“In light of the recent bushfires, we have all come together to play a part in providing support in any way, shape or form for families in need,” Irina said.
“We’d like to give a special callout to both ATT & Ron Finemore Transport for their donated support to assist with the move of FoodCo donations.”
Carrier partner Glen Cameron Group also assisted with the transportation of water tanks in NSW while Shepparton Express National Transport delivered a donation of SPC food.
“With the help of our carrier partner Shepparton Express National Transport, we were able to move 132 pallets of SPC food interstate, ensuring families had access to food,” Irina said.
Robert Giles, CEO of SPC Ardmona, thanked the Primary Connect team for putting their hand up to transport the donation.
Primary Connect has also been assisting Foodbank during the bushfires by providing pro bono transport from Shepparton to Foodbank’s hubs in NSW, ACT, VIC and SA.
Michael Davidson, General Manager of National Supply Chain at Foodbank Australia, said this was another great example of Foodbank’s partnership with Primary Connect.
“Thank you to Ramsin Samonia from the Primary Connect team for stepping up as always,” Michael said.
Primary Connect didn’t forget its furry friends during the recent bushfires. As Foodbank’s carrier partner, Irina said Primary Connect was able to lend a hand by moving 500 kilos of sweet potatoes.
“Sweet Potatoes Australia generously donated the non-edible produce to Foodbank to feed the wildlife across our national parks and areas affected by the bushfires,” Irina said.
