30th November 2021
On behalf of all at Primary Connect, we thank you for your overwhelming support through 2021.
This year has again brought unprecedented challenges through the impacts of COVID-19, border challenges, in addition to the disruptions relating to weather events and ongoing global supply chain challenges.
At Primary Connect, one of our core values is caring deeply about the wellbeing of our customers, team and service providers. It is only through our partnership that we have been able to maintain this focus whilst continuing to service our consumer customers with the products they need and love.
As we move into the Christmas period, we will be delivering record volumes across the entire network and we envisage the current challenges to continue.
To best prepare for this peak period, we would ask that all our Customers please continue to:
Keep your people safe - Safety is always our first and foremost priority across the supply chain. We also encourage you to maintain COVID safe protocols in line with prevailing government directives.
Keep communication channels open - We are better when we work together and this will help us to deliver a successful Christmas period. If you have an urgent query please call 1800 PRIMARY. Due to the high volume of email traffic, calling us will assist in resolving your query in a more timely manner.
Please ensure Pallet Stacks are updated by 11am the day prior to collection. Any late (after 11am) pallet stack updates or changes will need to be called through to Customer Service on 1800 PRIMARY.
Flexibility in supporting collections outside core hours and weekends - We had great uptake last year and will again seek your support to assist us move volumes through our network.
Due to the volume of work during this peak period, Primary Connect will not be in a position to hold products and cannot guarantee early collections.
If it is your intention to be closed or close early on any days throughout the peak trading period, please ensure you discuss with your Woolworths Replenishment Supply Planner.
Manage pallets as efficiently as possible - As we are experiencing an unprecedented shortage of pallets across all supply chains, please re-enter all pallets into the pool ASAP
Monitor global freight - International freight is experiencing challenges affecting all of the supply chain. If there are opportunities to bring freight forward, we may be able to support you with additional storage.
Thank you again for your support throughout the many challenges we have experienced together in 2021. We look forward to continuing to partner with you through the Christmas period and beyond.
