As Australia's largest provider of pro bono freight to Foodbank, the Primary Connect team see first-hand the value they add every day and are always looking for more ways to help.
Primary Connect recently made a $5,700 donation to its charity partner, Foodbank, to support families experiencing food hunger during COVID.
Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation and provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nationwide.
According to Foodbank, one in five Australians have experienced food insecurity at some point over the past 12 months.
Primary Connect issued a customer survey via Advancy Consulting Group in July with a commitment to donate $25 to Foodbank for every completed survey. They received 228 surveys which resulted in a donation of $5,700.
Brianna Casey, Chief Executive Officer - Foodbank Australia, thanked the Primary Connect team for its ongoing support.
“A massive thank you to everyone at Primary Connect not only for nominating us as your charity of choice when you were raising funds through your customer survey returns but also for your ongoing support right throughout the year right across the country,” she said.
“We can’t do what we do without you and we are extremely grateful.”
As well as its team members volunteering at Foodbank, Primary Connect also supports Foodbank by providing pro bono transport support so Foodbank can move food and household items to its hubs around the country.
