In 2011 Primary Connect approached Terry Nolan of Nolan’s Interstate Transport and presented him with an opportunity to grow his business. Today, that partnership has continued to thrive.
Nolan’s is a 112-year-old family business which boasts 173 trucks and 263 temperature-controlled trailers. Some of the drivers have been there for more than 30 years.
Nolan’s is one of the largest family-owned and operated transport businesses in Queensland with a high reputation for quality service.
Primary Connect’s role is to help Nolan’s get temperature-controlled products such as produce and meat as safely and quickly as possible into our distribution centres so it stays fresh for our customers.
“Maintaining temperature specifications and standards allows for a longer shelf-life and a higher quality yield of product, which reinforces our reliable status,” Flea Nolan, Director Nolan’s Transport, said.
“The guaranteed business that comes with working with Primary Connect has laid a solid foundation for higher revenues, accurate budget reporting and strong industry ties.
“This allows Nolan’s to form solid relationships with growers and relevant networks, strengthening our reputation and growing our organisation.”
In 2019, Nolan’s Interstate Transport was awarded Woolworths Group Supply Chain Large Carrier of the Year for outstanding performance in safety, compliance and service.
Flea said Nolan’s Interstate Transport hoped to continue working closely with Primary Connect to grow a strong reputation and an even broader network.
“As Woolworths grows its partner base, we hope to be instrumental in delivering a high quality, reliable and safe service,” Flea said.
